Heavy-lift drone lifts an air conditioning unit motor at Basic-Fit
Using a heavy-lift drone for lifting work in complex situations. Lifting an air conditioning unit motor in a place where a crane cannot reach might sound like a problem, but it is not. With a heavy-lift drone, these kinds of challenging jobs become straightforward in one go. Thanks to the precision and stability of our FlyingBasket FB3, we were able to place the motor exactly where it needed to be.
The challenge
Without any issues, we positioned the drone with precision above the target location and completed the lift.
Why a drone?
- No crane required: less space needed and less impact on the surroundings
- Faster execution: efficient operations and a shorter lead time
- Safer work: fewer risky lifting movements and less work at height
- High precision: controlled placement in hard-to-reach locations
Preparation and operations on site.
Efficiency and safety
Traditional lifting jobs with cranes require a lot of preparation and time, as well as temporary structures and manpower. A heavy-lift drone helps reduce these factors significantly and turns the downsides into something positive.
Safety-first approach
- Lower costs
- Improved safety
- Short lead time and quicker deployment
This makes our heavy-lift drone not only a streamlined solution, but also a sustainable one. No emissions and less disruption to the surroundings.
End result
Project Schijndel
The project in Schijndel, carried out together with Koninklijke Saan and Romijnders, shows how versatile heavy-lift drones are. With a maximum capacity of 200 kg and a range of 16 kilometers, many more payloads are possible.
