We are the heavy-lift drone specialist based in Groningen, active throughout the Netherlands. Heavy, far and precise, that is what we do.
Our mission
Drone Lift B.V. transports loads up to 200 kg to locations where cranes cannot reach and vessels are too slow. We combine certified safety with the flexibility of drones to carry out jobs that are impossible or too costly with conventional means.
As an official FlyingBasket dealer, we also supply complete drone solutions to organisations that want to operate independently: from hardware and training to SORA guidance and operational procedures.

Founder & CEO
Joris is the founder of both Drone Visual B.V. and Drone Lift B.V. With years of experience in professional drone operations, he built Drone Lift into the heavy-lift specialist of the Netherlands.

Drone Operator
Casper carries out heavy-lift operations in the field. As a certified operator he is responsible for safe and precise execution on site.

Drone Operator & Software Developer
Lars combines field operations as a drone operator with software development, working on the digital tools that make Drone Lift more efficient.

European funding for offshore drone transport
Feasibility study into innovative cargo transport by drone between offshore structures
The aim of the project
Drone Lift B.V. investigated whether heavy cargo drones can transport goods between offshore installations such as wind turbines and platforms at sea. The FlyingBasket FB3, with a payload of up to 100 kg, served as the reference platform for the study; Drone Lift now also operates the FlyingBasket FB4, which lifts up to 200 kg. Across seven work packages we assessed the economic, technical and operational feasibility together with test facility OWIC. The project was carried out with an SME feasibility voucher from the Northern Netherlands Provinces Alliance (SNN), co-funded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The results achieved
- A substantiated picture of flight endurance: around 30 minutes at a 10 kg payload, dropping to around 11 minutes at 100 kg.
- Drone-as-a-Service emerges as the most promising business model for offshore clients.
- Solution paths for corrosion, salt, moisture and signal interference in maritime conditions.
- Final conclusion: a conditional go towards a controlled pilot and validation phase, not yet towards full commercial scale-up.
The study was carried out together with test facility OWIC, which among other things organised a demonstration day in the Eemshaven for potential Drone-as-a-Service customers.
